The purpose of the Data Entry Coordinator (Pre-Authorization Department) is to ensure all Burks pre authorization requests are up to date and accurately claims are accurately prepared for electronic submission. This is a full-time, temporary position with the hours of Monday through Friday from 9a-5:30p. We will consider temp to direct hire.  

 

 

 

Job Functions:  

 
     
  • Contributes to team effort. This includes performing other related tasks as needed 
  •  
  • Enters authorization requests received from referring providers for Burks clients 
  •  
  • Scans all received documentsinto MI and shares drive 
  •  
  • Inputs information from referring physician’s offices to Burks online portal to process authorization requests 
  •  
  • Communicates with referring physicians offices for information needed to complete authorization requests, provides feedback on status on an authorization if required 
  •  
  • Inputs patient data and authorization information into MI 
  •  
  • Follows up on all Burks email communications regarding status of authorizations 
  •  
  • Coordinates with Central Scheduling and URG offices in order to confirm the ability to schedule patient exams 
  •  
  • Ensure charge entry is current and up to date 
  •  
  • Maintains job performance standards consistent with established metrics 
  •  
  • Confirms insurance eligibility of patient and follows up as necessary  
  •  
 

 

 

Skills:  

 
     
  • 2 years experience in data entry 
  •  
  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9/10 codes and medical terminology 
  •  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  •  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills  
  •
